Swindon Wildcats have re-signed defenceman Joe Baird for the new ice hockey season. The 29-year-old impressed during the last campaign, despite playing the latter part of the season with an upper-body injury. Wildcats coach Ryan Aldridge said: "You know what you get with Joe. "He keeps it simple, plays hard, taking the body where necessary, and has an edge that players are unsure of that can give him time and space."
