Coventry Blaze have announced they have secured the services of last season's top goalscorer Luke Fulghum for another two years.

The American forward netted 60 times and weighed in with 44 assists to help Blaze claim the Elite League title in his first campaign.

"I am very happy to be returning to Coventry," said Fulghum.

"I enjoyed the best season of my career so far and it was fantastic to win the league championship."

Blaze coach Paul Thompson signed the 30-year-old from Manchester Phoenix and is backing him to become one of the club's greats.

Thompson said: "Luke's coming off the back of an incredible season. He was simply prolific last season and there's no doubt that the consistency of his goal scoring played a big part in us winning the league.

"I'm now looking for him to show the same productivity over the next two seasons and make himself into one of the club's great goal scorers."

The club have also confirmed Jack Watkins will step up from the Blaze ENL side to join his brother, Tommy, at Telford Tigers although he will remain on a two-way contract with the Skydome outfit.
