CLYDESDALE BANK 40, Edgbaston: Warwickshire 201-3 beat Durham 200-9 (Warwickshire 2 pts) Match scorecard
Trott had previously passed the 50 mark four times this season
England's Jonathan Trott hit his first century of the summer at Edgbaston to help earn Warwickshire a seven-wicket Clydesdale Bank 40 win over Durham.
Phil Mustard (61) top scored for Durham as the visitors ran up 200-9.
But, after losing Neil Carter first ball and Ian Bell cheaply too, the Bears recovered well from 59-2.
Trott, run out for 103 when 25 short of victory, put on a match-winning 117 for the third wicket with Jim Troughton, who was there at the end on 66 not out.
The Bears' third straight win, clinched with five overs in hand, maintains their 100% start in the Clydesdale 40, helping them to leapfrog Durham to the top of Group C.
Jonathan Trott told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire:
"I think we bowled very well up front and contained them nicely in the first couple of powerplays.
"To only have to go out and score five an over on that wicket is a nice feeling as an opener.
"It was nice to get a hundred but a little disappointed to be run out towards the end."
