Coventry Bees picked up their first away points of the season with a shock 48-42 victory at Swindon Robins.

It was Coventry's first win at Blunsdon since the Robins returned to the Elite League in 2004, and only their second success this year.

Bees captain Chris Harris top-scored with 12 but the whole team chipped in including debutant Przemyslaw Pawlicki.

Leigh Adams and Simon Stead both made double figures for the home side, with paid 13 and paid 12 respectively.

The result doubled bottom club Coventry's tally for the season, moving them up to six points, but keeps Robins on 11 from eight meetings.

It also ensured Bees manager Alun Rossiter emerged victorious on his first return to Blunsdon since leaving Swindon to join Coventry late last year.

Rossiter told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "I've not put any extra into this tonight.

"I've not wound them up any more than I have all season and they've responded magnificently.

"Of all the place to come and win - Swindon. I don't think I'll be the most popular man in Swindon tomorrow."
