Nottingham Panthers breezed into the play-off semi-finals with a 5-0 defeat of Edinburgh in Sunday's quarter-final second leg at the National Ice Centre.
The teams drew 4-4 in the first leg but Panthers dominated the return tie to go though to a semi-final against Belfast.
Two Marty Gascon goals and one each for Sean McAslan, Bruce Richardson and Jade Galbraith sealed a 9-4 aggregate win.
Player/coach Corey Neilson, told BBC Radio Nottingham: "We were good; that was a demolition of sorts."
Panthers will have home advantage in Saturday's semi-final against the Giants.
And should they overcome Belfast, who finished second in the regular Elite League season - one place above Panthers - Neilson's men will also have the benefit of playing at home the following day.
Neilson added: "We were good. The guys were very comfortable defensively and we didn't let anybody behind us.
"We hurt ourselves with penalties at times but we coped very well and obviously going forward we were smooth and the powerplay looked good."
