Derek Campbell scores his 16th goal of the season against Stingrays
Coventry Blaze booked their place in the semi-finals of the Elite League play-offs with a 6-2 aggregate win over Hull Stingrays. Blaze beat Stingrays 2-1 in East Yorkshire on Saturday before completing the job at home the next day. Goals from Luke Fulghum (two), Derek Campbell and Greg Owen saw Coventry clinch a 4-1 victory. Owen is a doubt for this Saturday's semi against Cardiff Devils after picking up a knee injury. Coventry coach Paul Thompson was happy with the result but was upset that Owen's perpetrator went unpunished. Thompson told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "We're a gutsy lot and that was a gutsy performance. "We've lost another player and it looks like Owen's got ligament damage, maybe cruciate ligament damage. "These things happen in ice hockey but you expect the player who does it to get punished. Nothing again. Nothing." Blaze take on Devils on Saturday, 3 April (1300 BST) at the NIC in Nottingham.
