Nottingham Panthers' Kevin St Pierre demands focus
Netminder Kevin St Pierre says this weekend must see two Panthers wins
Nottingham Panthers netminder Kevin St Pierre is urging his side to stay focused ahead of the weekend's action.
Panthers host Sheffield at the National Ice Centre on Saturday before Sunday's trip to title rivals Coventry.
And St Pierre told BBC Radio Nottingham: "From now on, for the rest of the year, they are all big games.
"We have to go one game at a time. We have to take care of business on Saturday, which won't be easy. We need two wins this weekend, nothing less."
Coventry lead Panthers at the top of the table by one point but now have just two games in hand, following a surprise 3-2 home defeat by Edinburgh in midweek.
"For me personally, I think it's easier to pursue than be pursued," added St Pierre.
"We have to play Coventry four more times. The last time two times we played them we weren't playing our best hockey.
"Now we are playing really good, so I am looking forward to playing them and it doesn't really matter what has happened in the past.
"This is the situation we are in now, we have to deal with it and get the win."
Meanwhile, St Pierre's wife Heather is leading a collection with the players wives and girlfriends, to raise money for the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
St Pierre said: "Me and Heather did something when Hurricane Katrina happened in the US. We organised a fundraising hockey game.
"I raise money for junior diabetes and she helps me organise a golf day for that. It was no exception when this happened and we felt we had to do something.
"People say how much should they give. It's whatever you feel. If it's 1p, it's 1p more than they would've had if we didn't collect it."
