Newcastle Vipers forward Mike Berry has put his impressive goal-scoring record in the Elite League this season down to the hard work of his team-mates.

Berry has eight strikes to his name in just nine games but has been quick to pay tribute to the efforts of his fellow players at the Newcastle Arena.

"I've been really happy with my form so far, however a lot of that is down to the players I have around me," he said.

"We've got a team that works hard together, we want to win."

Berry joined Vipers from East Coast Hockey League side Mississippi Sea Wolves in May 2009.
