Invicta Dynamos maintained their 100% start to the ENIHL South Division One season with an 8-2 victory over the Streatham Redskins. The only dampener for the Dynamos was an injury to defenceman David Oliver, who was taken to hospital for a scan on a head injury. "Five wins from five - I couldn't ask for much better than that," coach Kevin Parrish told BBC Radio Kent. "It's always a tough game at Streatham - it's a tough place to play." He added: "It's very dark in there and not many fans - but the fans that were there were right on your back. "To be honest they're not a brilliant side and we tend to drop down a level to the one we normally play at. | When he came round he wasn't too stable so he went to the hospital and had a couple of CT scans and an x-ray Kevin Parrish on David Oliver |
"We were never in any doubt that we were going to win the game from the first period onwards and we've come out of there with a win which was the most important thing." Canadian Peter Vaisanen scored three goals, with Joe Johnston, Andy Smith, Johan Stenvall, Mark Williams and Nicky Lewis, getting the others. Meanwhile, Oliver is now expected to miss the next two games against Bracknell Hornets and Wightlink Raiders after suffering concussion. "When he came round he wasn't too stable so he went to the hospital and had a couple of CT scans and an x-ray on his back and chest as he was complaining about pains there," said Parrish. "I know David suffered with a bad concussion a couple of years ago so we'll have to keep an eye on it and make sure he's got the all clear, so he'll probably miss the next couple of weekends. "I don't want to bring him back too quickly because a concussion injury is a very serious injury."
