The Invicta Dynamos play-off campaign ended in disappointment once again this season, missing out on the Coventry final on goal difference.

The Dynamos won their last four games including a 9-4 thrashing of the Cardiff Dragons at the weekend.

The Peterborough Islanders will now represent the South in the English National Ice Hockey League.

Coach Kevin Parrish told BBC Radio Kent: "We were always going to struggle after losing the first two games."

He added: "Credit where credits due - the players worked hard to win four on the trot and make it to the final, if we'd of had a better start we could have been going there this year."

The Dynamos have a chance for revenge over the Islanders as they play the Cambridgeshire side in the League Cup semi-finals this weekend.
