Aldridge won the 2007 EPL title as player-coach of Basingstoke Bison |
Ryan Aldridge has been named as the new head coach of Swindon Wildcats. He replaces Peter Russell, who was sacked by the Wildcats last week after two years in charge of the English Premier League club. Aldridge only moved to the Link Centre in October but quickly became captain and is set to play on in his new role. The 31-year-old coached the Basingstoke Bison before joining Swindon and, as player-coach, steered the Bison to the 2006/07 EPL title.
