Steve Thornton saw his Giants side cruise to a league win

The Giants made it three wins from their opening three games of the season by hammering the Vipers in Saturday night's Elite League clash.

Evan Cheverie put the Odyssey side ahead and Burt Henderson levelled before Belfast hit six without reply.

Cheverie got another two, Bobby Robins scored twice while Colin Shields and Paul Deniset were also on target.

Todd Griffith pulled one back before Cheverie completed the rout with his fourth goal.

The Giants are back in action on Sunday with an away game against Hull Stingrays (1800 BST).
