The play-off trophy is the Jets' first silverware since 1999 |
Slough Jets took the English Premier League play-off trophy on Sunday after an assured 4-1 win over Bracknell Bees. Jets made Bees pay on the powerplay in the first period, taking a 2-0 lead through Jan Krajicek and Tony Redmond. Blaz Emersic made it 3-0 before Shaun Thompson gave the Bees a foothold in the game, but Richie Hargreaves sealed the win for Slough in the third period. The win means the two Berkshire teams end the season with a trophy each for the first time since 1990.
