Trainer Sir Mark Prescott and jockey Seb Sanders claimed the big race on the fourth day of the Glorious Goodwood meeting when Spectait took the Totesport Mile.
The 9-2 chance got the better of 7-2 favourite Dunelight by half a length.
The Mark Johnston-trained Crosspeace made it two wins at the meeting with a win in the Coutts Glorious Stakes after Tuesday's victory in the Sportsman Newspaper Stakes.
Red Evie stretched her unbeaten record to six when coming from last to first under Frankie Dettori to land a dramatic victory in the Oak Tree Stakes.
Jimmy Fortune landed a double when Fantasy Believer and Terentia won the day's last two races

The odds-on favourite Hamoody shows a lot of guts to get up and win the Richmond Stakes.
The 5-6 chance nestled in behind Bodes Galaxy who set the pace from the start as Alan Munro tried to get his mount settled on only his second racecourse appearance.
Bodes Galaxy still led with a furlong to go but Munro pushed his mount on and he battled bravely to the lead and claimed victory.
The success has marked the winner out as a contender for next year's 2000 Guineas.
"There were a few nervous moments there for favourite backers"
BBC Sport's Clare Balding
"I wasn't happy with the way he travelled early on. He's only a baby and he needs to learn a lot but he will improve."

Spectait and Seb Sanders made the most of a good draw to claim victory in the Totesport Mile.
The horse, who had two good runs on the all-weather this year, made the most of coming out of stall 16 to come through late and pip Dunelight.
Dunelight and Philip Robinson had made most of the running until the final couple of strides when the winner, who had started to challenge with two furlongs to go, made a late charge and got his nose in front.
Sir Gerard, who had a poor draw from stall one, battled bravely and made up ground late on to finish fourth, just behind outsider Prince of Thebes.
"He has proved what a good horse he can be."
Winning jockey Seb Sanders

1. Red Evie (L Dettori) 15-8f
2. Makderah (R Hills) 100-30
3. Cantabria (Richard Hughes) 10-1
9 ran. Dist: , 1
Frankie Dettori brings the favourite Red Evie from last to first in the home straight for her sixth win in a row.
Dettori's mount was last with two furlongs to go but he pulled her to the outside and she powered past her rivals for the 28,390 first prize although she had to wait for a stewards enquiry before the result was confirmed.
On her way through to the front, there seemed to be some inteference with Spinning Queen and Cantabria which led to the matter being referred to the stewards room but the result remained unaltered.
Makderah and Richard Hills travelled well but she seemed to get to the front too early and found herself outpaced by the winner.
"What an amazing performance. Look how much ground she made up."
BBC Sport's Clare Balding
"She's crying out for a mile. She's an amazingly consistant filly but does nothing at home."
Winning trainer Michael Bell

1. Crosspeace (Royston Ffrench) 100-30
2. Foxhaven (Martin Dwyer) 9-1
3. Admiral's Cruise (Jimmy Fortune) 2-1f
8 ran. Dist: nk, 1
The Mark Johnston-trained Crosspeace made it a Goodwood double with victory in the opening race on day four of the festival.
After winning the first race on Tuesday's card, Royston Ffrench made no mistake this time.
Ffrench took control turning for home and kicked on past Foxhaven with a furlong and a half to go but nothing was going to get by his charge.
Foxhaven had nothing left and although Admiral's Cruise swept down on the outside but he hadn't got the speed to overtake the hard-working winner.
"We've maybe been too complicated with this horse in the past. He's totally game and genuine."
Winning trainer Mark Johnston
