Derby winner Motivator is likely to run in either the Irish Derby or the Coral Eclipse at Sandown, the colt's trainer Michael Bell has revealed. Bell said on Sunday that Motivator was slightly sore "but basically emerged unscathed" after his thrilling win.
The trainer said: "He is a little foot-sore in his off-fore as he lost a shoe, I think after the race in the winner's enclosure."
As for Motivator's future targets, Bell said: "Nothing is set in stone."
He added: "I have to speak to the racing manager Harry Herbert before a policy decision is made.
"There are two possible stops - either the Irish Derby or the Eclipse."
The Irish Derby takes place on The Curragh on 26 June while the Coral Eclipse - which would pit Motivator against older horses for the first time - takes place at Sandown on 2 July.
