Vikings Ladies A are through to the third round of the England Hockey Vase after Sunday's 2-0 win over Rolls-Royce of Derby. The Manx side, who have a 100% record in the Isle of Man Women's Premier League, delivered a confident performance to book their passage. Goals from Kim Carney and Kirsty Hunt sealed the win. Vikings will now face GSK South Lakes Ladies at home on 21 February for a place in the quarter-final draw. The Manx team beat Prescot Ladies 4-1 in the first round. The Women's Vase has been running since the 2000/01 season and is a straight knockout competition. Meanwhile, in the Men's Premier League, there were important wins for Vikings A and Bacchas A. Vikings A moved top by a point after beating fourth placed Castletown 7-1, while Bacchas A inflicted a first defeat of the season on previous leaders Valkyrs A.
