The Ireland men's hockey team lost 1-0 to the Netherlands in their second Euro Hockey game at Manchester on Tuesday afternoon. Taeke Taekema scored the winning goal after 16 minutes, firing low and hard past the diving David Harte.
Ireland had drawn 1-1 with defending champions Spain in their opening match of the series on Sunday, Mark Gleghorne scoring for the Irish.
France are the next opponents for Dave Passmore's team at 1300 on Wednesday.
