Sussex wheelchair tennis player Adam Field has set his sights on gaining a place in the British Paralympic team after winning his first singles title.

The quad player, 24, needs to rise from the world number 13 into the top 10 to be sure of qualification.

He told BBC Sussex: "I am going to push for London. It's one of my main aims. It would be an amazing event.

"Qualification starts next May and I want to be comfortably in the top 10 so I can guarantee my place."

Field beat Canadian Adrian Dieleman 6-1 6-3 at the Wroclaw Cup in Poland earlier this month to seal his maiden international singles title.

"It's been a long time coming as I got to finals earlier in the year," he said.

"I've put in a lot of hard work so it's good that it's coming off. This one was really special, absolutely awesome.

"It's given me a lot of experience and hopefully I can go on and win more tournaments."
