Great Britain women's wheelchair basketball player Caroline Maclean is looking to inspire her younger team-mates in the Paralympic World Cup.

The Haverhill-based athlete will feature for Team GB when they kick off their campaign against Canada in Manchester on Thursday.

Maclean, 35, told BBC Look East: "We joke about how old I am but I do think they look up to me maybe a little bit.

"They're coming on so well and they've got so much potential."

The guard has seen the squad develop over the last few years and believes they are starting to catch up with the stronger nations.

After their opener against the Canadians Great Britain will face Holland on Friday and Australia on Saturday, before the medal deciders on Sunday.

Maclean has featured for Team GB at the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Paralympic Games, finishing eighth on each occasion.
