 Welbourn has won gold medals at the last two Paralympic Games |
Lincolnshire swimmer Rob Welbourn has won a silver medal in the 4x100m medley relay at the European Paralympic Swimming Championships in Iceland. Welbourn, 22, swam the final leg in 54.35 seconds, lifting Great Britain from sixth to second behind Ukraine. The team's time of 4:23.49 was a new British record. Welbourn, who also won bronze in the 200m individual medley, could add to his tally in his favoured event, the 400m freestyle on Wednesday.
