Argentine midfielder Sergio Torres has returned to Peterborough United after his one-month loan at Lincoln City.
Torres made six appearances for the League Two club and scored the Imps' winner in the 1-0 home win over Aldershot on 3 October.
However, the two clubs have not been able to agree a deal for the loan period to be extended.
Imps boss Chris Sutton told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We're not a club with a lot of money so he's going back."
