Torres joined Peterborough after three seasons with Wycombe

Midfielder Sergio Torres says he hopes to make an impact during his month-long loan spell at Lincoln City.

The Argentinian, 25, joined on Thursday from Championship side Peterborough.

He told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "I'm looking to get some games and help the team. I know a few of the boys and I'm looking forward to it.

"I know Rene Howe and I know Stefan Oakes. It helps because it's difficult coming to a new club but the boys have made me welcome so I'm happy."

He added: "A few people at Peterborough said good things about the club so when I was told Lincoln wanted me to come here on loan I said yes, of course."

Torres has been given the number 21 shirt and will be in the Imps squad for Saturday's clash with Shrewsbury.
