The Great Britain quad wheelchair tennis team will face the USA in the final of the World Team Cup in Nottingham on Sunday.

The team of Peter Norfolk, Jamie Burdekin and Andrew Lapthorne, the second seeds, defeated the Netherlands 2-0 in Thursday's semi-final.

World number seven Burdekin defeated Dorrie Timmermans 7-6 6-3 to give the home side the perfect start.

Paralympic champion Norfolk sealed the win by beating Bas van Erp 6-2 6-0.

It is the fourth time in 12 years that Great Britain have reached the final of the quad event and it will give Norfolk the chance to try and avenge his defeat by American David Wagner in last Saturday's British Open quad singles final.

The GB men's team will play off for fifth and sixth place against Korea on Sunday after beating Belgium 2-1.

Marc McCarroll gave GB the lead in the tie with a 6-2 6-1 win over Kristof Michils, but David Phillipson lost 6-3 1-6 6-1 to Belgian number one Joachim Gerard.

But McCarroll and British number one Gordon Reid then won the doubles 7-5 6-3 to set up a meeting with Korea and secure the highest placing for the GB men since 2002.

The GB juniors will play Spain for third and fourth place after losing 2-1 to Australia in their semi-finals.
