GB women clinch last-four place

Great Britain's women's wheelchair tennis team reached the semi-finals of the World Team Cup in Nottingham after a 2-0 victory over the United States.

Jordanne Whiley started off well with a 7-5 6-2 win over Emmy Kaiser.

Lucy Shuker secured victory with a 6-0 6-2 win over Dana Mathewson, setting up a meeting with Korea on Friday.

The men's team lost 2-0 to the Netherlands in their quarter-final and face Belgium in the play-offs for fifth to eighth place on Thursday.

Marc McCarroll and British number one Gordon Reid were both beaten in straight sets by world number five Maikel Scheffers and world number six Robin Ammerlaan.

The quad team of Peter Norfolk, Jamie Burdekin and Andrew Lapthorne defeated Israel to top their round-robin pool and they will face the Netherlands in Thursday's semi-finals.
