Britain's Lucy Shuker saw her challenge end at the Sydney International Wheelchair Tennis Open with defeats in both the singles and doubles. British number one Shuker could not end the three-year unbeaten run of world number one Esther Vergeer, losing 6-1 6-0 to the Dutch player.
In the doubles, Shuker and Daniela di Toro lost 7-5 5-7 3-6 to Maaike Smit and Mie Yaosa.
Shuker is likely to stay at her equal career-best ranking of 12 next week.
