Britain's Lucy Shuker continued her fine start to 2007 by reaching the last eight at the Sydney International Wheelchair Tennis Open in Australia. British number one Shuker beat seventh seed Karin Suter-Erath 3-6 6-3 6-1 in the second round and now faces world number one Esther Vergeer of Holland.
Shuker also reached the quarter-finals of the doubles, enjoying a 6-0 6-0 success with partner Daniela Di Toro.
But British men's number one Jayant Mistry lost to fifth seed Ronald Vink.
The Loughborough world number 20 went down 6-2 6-2 to the Dutchman and also exited the doubles as he and Michael Dobbie were beaten 6-2 6-0 by second seeds Robin Ammerlaan and Martin Legner.
