World record seals Smyth double
Jason Smyth
Jason Smyth performed brilliantly in Finland
Eglinton sprinter Jason Smyth produced a world record performance in picking up his second gold medal at the European Paralympics in Finland.

Smyth clocked a time of 21.84 in the T13 event to add to his 100m win where he also set a new world record.

Antrim man Michael McKillop also won two medals at the Championships.

McKillop produced a personal best to win silver in the 800m T37 Cerebal Palsy category and claimed bronze over 1500m in Espoo.
