David Weir and Michael Churm continued Great Britain's gold rush at the IPC Open European Championships in Finland on Tuesday when they both won finals. Weir edged out Dutch rival Kenny van Weeghel to take the T54 400m in 49.35 seconds, while Churm triumphed in the T37 200m in 25.50.
Weir later took bronze behind Leo-Pekka Tahti in the T54 100m.
Noel Thatcher took T12 10,000m bronze and Sophie Hancock and Kim Minett won shot silver and bronze respectively.
Briton's Paul Pearce finished fifth in the T12 10,000m, while Graeme Ballard and Ben Rushgrove came fifth and seventh respectively in the T36 100m.
But American amputee Marlon Shirley dominated the headlines as he led home a historic US 1-2-3 in the T44 200m before going on to win long jump gold. Shirley won the sprint in 23.40 to edge compatriots Danny Andrews and Ryan Fann.
He then took charge of proceedings on the long jump runway with a third-round leap of 6.65m.
On Wednesday, Team GB will be hopeful of more medal success as Kenny Churchill will be in action in the javelin and Dame Tanni Grey Thompson will be aiming to follow up Monday's win in the T53 100m with a successful defence of her 200m crown.
Hazel Robson flies the GB flag in the T36 100m and Shirley Woods goes in the final of the T54 1500m.
