King has reached the semi-finals in his first season in the Premier League
Norfolk's Mervyn King is through to the semi-finals of darts' Premier League at Wembley Arena next month.
Having drawn Terry Jenkins in Aberdeen on Thursday he will join Phil Taylor, James Wade and Raymond van Barneveld in the play-offs on Monday, 25 May.
King told BBC Radio Norfolk he was pleased to progress given his form.
"My performance in the last five or six weeks has been disappointing but I don't profess to be the most consistent player in the world," he said.
"I know my game has flaws, one minute I'm playing better than anyone in the world, the next I can be playing very ordinarily."
It's King's first season playing in the Premier League but he is not daunted by the company he will be keeping in the semi-finals.
"I'm certainly not star struck," he added. "I'm as good a player as them on my day and I deserve to be there.
"I'm not really fussed who I play to be honest with you. I know if I turn up I can win, it doesn't matter who it is, but you try and keep away from Phil [Taylor] if you can."
Taylor, the world number one, set a new record for the highest average in the history of televised darts as he beat John Part 8-3 in Aberdeen, and King admitted it was an impressive win.
"I watched his game and he didn't miss anything at all really," King commented. "John Part did nothing wrong and was on the receiving end of it.
"John's a great player when he goes, but that's Phil for you, [and] that's what makes him the best in the world - he's so consistent.
"We can all do it to that standard and higher, it's just doing it on a consistent basis. That's what sticks him above the majority of other people."
