The historic first stage of the 2010 Tour de Bretagne cycle race was won by Holland's Jetse Bol, riding for the Rabobank team.

Cycled over a 15km circular course on the east side of Jersey, it was the first time the event has ever seen a stage outside Brittany in France.

Russian Rodrig Arguelyes came home second and was also best climber, with Frenchman Niels Brouzes third.

Winner Bol is also the early leader of the sprint section of the Tour.

After the time-trial on Monday, the Tour returns to its more familiar surroundings of Brittany.
