Bellis eager to make cycling return

Manx cyclist Jonny Bellis has finally returned to the Isle of Man after almost six months of rehabilitation following a scooter accident in Italy.

The 21-year-old is now targeting a return to competitive cycling in the next two to three months.

The three-time European track champion says it has been a slow process but he is thrilled to be back home.

"I've been doing a lot of work on the bike in the gym but I can't wait to get out on the real thing," said Bellis.

He is regarded as one of British cycling's best academy products and had just completed his first full season as a professional with Danish team Saxo Bank when the accident happened in September.
