Jersey's Chrissie Grimes beat Canada, Spain and Scotland before bowing out of the World Bowls Champions of Champions tournament on Norfolk Island. Having lost five of her first six group matches, Grimes could not qualify for the knock-out stages but ended up just two points short. She finished with a 6-9 9-4 3-1 win over Scotland's Lorraine Malloy. Grimes won four and lost five of her group games, which gave her sixth place in her group and 11th spot overall.
