Jersey's triples just missed out out on a place in the final of the British Isles Outdoor Bowls Championships. The team of Terry Allen, Richard Allen and Brian Bisson were beaten 17-16 by England in the last four in Worthing. The defeat will come as a blow to Jersey, who were 8-0 after five ends against England, and also beat Guernsey 23-9 in the quarter-finals. In the singles, Jersey's Malcolm de Souza lost his semi-final 21-15 to Guernsey's Matt Le Ber. Jersey's fours are set to play Wales in the semi-final on Friday.
