Lincoln bowls player Billy Jackson has won his second round match at the World Indoor Championships in Norfolk. Jackson beat Welshman Richard Morgan 7-5 8-4 to go through to the third round of the tournament. He told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "If I won the match it guaranteed my top-16 place for probably two more years. "It actually finished Richard's career for world bowls as he won't now automatically qualify. It was a massive game for the pair of us." Jackson missed out on winning the World Indoor Pairs title earlier in the week. He and partner David Gourlay lost 9-7 8-8 to Kelvin Kerkow and Mervyn King. He will next be in action on 22 January.
