Raftopoulos was appointed Heat coach in May last year |
Guildford Heat coach Creon Raftopoulos says there is no room for complacency in the final weekend of the BBL Championship season. The Heat can guarantee a play-off place if they beat bottom side Essex Pirates and then Leicester Riders. "Essex have only won one game but they have been competitive this season, it's about keeping our focus," Raftopoulos told BBC Surrey. "I'm not taking any chances. We're going in there fully prepared." He added: "We want to be positive and we're planning for the whole of April." The Zimbabwean coach is coming to the end of his first season in charge of the Heat, and admits it has been a mixed year. "It was great to get to the BBL Trophy final," Raftopoulos continued. "But League-wise, I'm a little disappointed. I think we could have done a lot better. "With the financial problems, we just want to reward the fans for the support they've given us."
