Coventry Crusaders have withdrawn from the English Basketball League Division One after 19 years.

They have not been able to raise the funds required to play two games this weekend including a home fixture against Brixton.

Head coach Roger Payne put his own money into the club to allow them to start the season but has had to tell England Basketball they cannot go on.

Crusaders now aim to start again in Division Four next season.
