Rob Paternostro wants repeat Leicester Riders display

Going there [Milton Keynes] and getting a result with that hectic schedule is very satisfying

Head coach Rob Paternostro wants Leicester to show the same resilience they showed last week against Glasgow in their Championship opener on Sunday.

Paternostro was full of praise for the way his side dealt with punishing back-to-back road BBL Trophy trips against Essex Pirates and Milton Keynes Lions.

"Back-to-back road games are a little bit unfair but we came through it," Paternostro told BBC Radio Leicester.

"It doesn't get any easier...Glasgow is a road trip times five."

Riders eased to a 98-70 victory over Essex and then won a thrilling match-up against MK Lions 88-87.

Paternostro added: "It was a long trip back from Essex; we didn't get back until the early hours and we were back on the coach to Milton Keynes by noon the next day so going there and getting a result with that hectic schedule is very satisfying.

"We will have to make sure we are ready from the opening tap against Glasgow because playing up there is always a challenge."
