Leicester City boss Paulo Sousa remains confident he is the man to lead the club away from the foot of the table.

Sousa, who was named Foxes boss in the summer, has seen his team win just once in nine Championship matches and ship ten goals in their last two games.

"It is not a nice situation but I have faith in my players and confidence for the quality that they have," Sousa told BBC Radio Leicester.

"I am more positive than ever because I feel the right attitude and spirit."

Sousa is coming under increasing pressure - particularly on the back of a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Portsmouth last Friday and Tuesday's 4-3 loss away against Norwich.

But Sousa has the backing of his chairman Milan Mandaric and he remains defiant.

"This is not an easy moment, I know that," Sousa said.

"But I have spoken to the new owners and the best way to turn this around is to stick together and be strong."

And he feels the performance in the defeat at Carrow Road augers well.

"We feel we have the quality," he said. "I feel we have the right spirit and attitude but we need to keep positive and keep working.

"There is a lot of quality in the team and there was also a lot of spirit out there.

"To turn things around we need that good attitude and you saw it for a large part of the game, if we can carry on like that we will have a good chance of turning it around."
