Big win over Leeds was coming - George Skivington

Leicester forward George Skivington says the crushing victory over Leeds was an example of what Tigers can do when they cut out the stupid mistakes.

The Yorkshire side were brushed aside 48-6 at Welford Road last Saturday and Skivington told BBC Radio Leicester that the result had been coming.

"We've been playing fairly well all year but have been making a few silly errors and that has cost us," he said.

"But against Leeds it all came together and we got our reward."

Tigers lost the season opener against Northampton and also threw away a 30-17 lead in the game against Skivington's former side Wasps.

"We came away from the Wasps game feeling like we had thrown away a really good opportunity," Skivington said.

"But we will go there [Saracens] in confident mood and hopefully we can be more clinical."
