Plymouth Raiders opened their BBL Trophy campaign with Friday's last-minute win against Worthing Thunder. With the scores tied at 77-77 going into the last 60 seconds, the Raiders won it with a Taner Adu basket. The Raiders had edged ahead in the opening stages of the match, but only lead by 41-40 at half-time. Worthing fought back in the third and fourth quarter, but the Raiders kept their nerve to ensure they started the season in winning fashion. Anthony Rowe led the scoring for the Raiders with 21 points, while Adu picked up 20 points. Evaldas Zabas was the top scorer for Worthing with 31 points.
