Leicester Riders coach Rob Paternostro has further strengthened his squad with the signing of James Warwick. The 24-year guard or forward, has spent much of his career on the continent, and has also played in the EBL. Paternostro said: "James has some good European experience and has performed well in a few different places. "What impressed me is how hungry he is to succeed in the BBL. He brings a lot of energy and is the type of player who raises the intensity on the floor." Since the 2006/07 season, the versatile Warwick has played his basketball on mainland Europe with time spent in Austria, Italy and Germany. With Germany side Hannover Korbjaeger last year he posted 25 points per game and that helped secure a move to Pro-A league side UBC Hannover Tigers in January. In 2008/09 he helped Wolfenbuettel Dukes to runners-up spot in Germany's Pro-B, averaging more than 10 points per game. Paternostro added: "He can play a few positions and brings some more versatility to our basketball team."
