Everton Tigers held onto fifth place in the BBL with victories over Milton Keynes Lions and Worthing Thunder at the weekend. The Tigers beat the Lions 122-82 on Friday with Trey Moore top scoring with 31 points. Everton then overcame a closer encounter on Saturday beating Worthing 90-82, despite losing control of the third quarter. They next face Glasgow Rocks at Greenbank on Friday, tip-off 1930 GMT. Meanwhile Cheshire Jets suffered a mixed weekend as they lost to Glasgow Rocks before beating Guildford Heat. On Saturday the Jets fell to a 75-70 defeat by the Rocks, despite a points return of 21 from Chez Marks. But on Sunday Paul Smith's side managed a narrow 88-85 win at the Heat, with Marks once again Cheshire's top scorer with 20 points. The Jets' next match is away to the Leicester Riders on Saturday, tip-off 1930 GMT.
