Everton Tigers moved up to fifth place in the BBL Championship table following their 94-87 win over Leicester Riders on Friday at Greenbank. Former BBL MVP Trey Moore led the way with 23 points, with contributions from Jerome Gumbs (18), Olu Babalola (17) and Andrew Thomson (16). Despite the win for the Tigers they did have an early scare as the Riders took a 19-9 lead after five minutes. But Tony Garbelotto's side regained their composure to close out the win. Meanwhile, the Tigers have announced the dates of their BBL Trophy semi-final clashes against Newcastle Eagles. The first leg will be played at the Metro Arena on Sunday, 28 February, tip-off 1800 GMT, with the return leg at the Greenbank on Friday, 5 March, tip-off 1930 GMT. The originally scheduled BBL Championship game against the Eagles on 5 March will now be re-arranged.
