Paternostro said his Riders side again started poorly
Leicester Riders slipped to another home defeat as Newcastle Eagles came away with a 102-94 victory on Saturday.
Down by 15 at half-time, the Riders did draw level with three minutes left but the champions did enough to win.
Riders head coach Rob Paternostro told BBC Radio Leicester: "We started poorly again and couldn't maintain things when we did pull the game back."
Leicester travel to Essex Pirates on Friday, 4 December. The match tips off at 1930 GMT
They then play London Capital at the John Sandford Centre on Saturday 5 December, also at 1930 GMT.
Paternostro added: "We started poorly again. In the first half we couldn't stop them, and in the second we could but then it comes down to the end, and they made the plays they needed to make and we didn't.
