Gary Stronach's Raiders side are now fifth in the BBL table |
Plymouth's hopes of earning a top-four spot in the BBL suffered a blow as they lost 82-68 to Cheshire Jets on Sunday. Jets were strong offensively but picked up half of their points from offensive rebounds and turnovers. Cheshire led the first quarter 31-12 as Raiders failed to capitalise on opportunities to reduce the deficit. Plymouth played a stronger second half, scoring two more points than their opponents but the visitors kept them at bay to seal their victory. Raiders host Leicester Riders on Monday in the second match of their Easter double (tip-off 1600 GMT). The two sides met last week, with Riders running out 78-67 winners, although Plymouth won the previous meeting between the teams 82-75.
