Drew Lasker lasted just six minutes before suffering a cheek injury
Plymouth Raiders suffered more injury woe on Friday as they went down 96-73 to the Sheffield Sharks.
Leading scorer Drew Lasker faces a long period on the sidelines after suffering a suspected fractured cheekbone in the first quarter.
New signings Gerald Robinson and Haggai Hundert joint top scored for Plymouth with 13 points.
The two teams were tied until midway through the first quarter before Sheffield pulled away.
Lasker's injury adds to the news that fellow American Terrence Durham will be out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, while Anthony Martin also suffered a knee problem during the game.
"We're really concerned about Drew," Raiders head coach Gary Stronach told BBC Radio Devon.
"It doesn't look right, I'm no expert but there's a dent in the side of the face and it could be a fractured cheekbone. It's a big blow to us to lose our leading scorer after six minutes.
"A lot of adversity is being thrown at us and we've just got to see how we go next week and get ready for Leicester," he added.
