Wolves clash with Plymouth again

Skouson Harker
Harker was surprised at Plymouth's BBL Cup final defeat.

Worcester Wolves will take on Plymouth Raiders for the fifth time this season on Saturday evening.

Both clubs have won on each other's floor in the Championship, while Raiders have won both BBL Trophy games.

Wolves player-coach Skouson Harker knows his team face another hard game in Devon.

"They are tough. I was gutted to see how things went at NIA in the Final, and I think all BBL coaches would agree that was a one-off," he said.

"They will bounce back. They have already beaten Sharks in dramatic fashion, similar to how they stunned us in the Trophy, so they will be ready.

"We have nothing to lose at this stage, and we really need to have a good performance to get some momentum going as we are now in a critical stage of the season."

Wolves completed their BBL Trophy campaign with a 101-87 victory against Worthing Thunder, and Harker was happy.

"We could not possibly have started slower," he said. "But we came together and made some shots and played better defence as the game went on.

"Worthing are a real pesky team and I really like Ryan Patton, as I think he just keeps coming at you. He is a real leader for them.

"For us though it was a good game to get Vidmantas Uzkuraitus and Adam Williams back into the rotation and they both provided some energy to the team.

"Anthony Paez continues to get better and better defensively and that will really help elevate his game."
