Beasley will see a specialist early this week to examine his shoulder |
Plymouth Raiders are through to the semi-finals of the BBL Trophy, but paid a huge price as American star DeAntoine Beasley suffered a dislocated shoulder. The player-coach was injured during the second quarter of Sunday's thrilling 91-90 win over Worcester which ensured they made the semi-finals. Gaylon Moore got the winning basket with 43 seconds left to secure the one-point victory. That win, along with Saturday's 113-90 win over Worthing, saw them advance. Plymouth were 51-40 ahead at half-time in their match with Worcester. But Worcester, inspired by Anthony Paez who hit 29 points, gradually edged back and were ahead 77-68 early in the final quarter before the Raiders rallied. Saturday's win at Worthing was a lot easier for the Raiders as they led from the start as Drew Lasker hit 26 points while Gaylon Moore and Kabama Beckles each hit 17.
