Player-coach DeAntoine Beasley top-scored for Plymouth with 22 points |
The Plymouth Raiders BBL Trophy campaign got off to the worst possible start with a 103-92 loss to the Worthing Thunder at the Pavilions. Despite Plymouth only being a point down at half time, Worthing dominated the third quarter to take a 70-58 lead going into the final period. DeAntoine Beasley top-scored for the Raiders with 22 points while Drew Lasker scored 18 points. But Worthing's Janis Ivanovskis and Ryan Patton hit 31 and 25 respectively. Plymouth now face a must-win game at the Worcester Wolves on Wednesday, 7 January, if they are to realistically keep their Trophy hopes alive.
