Player coach Skouson Harker has taken Wolves into the play of places. |
Worcester Wolves face one of their biggest challenges of the season when they go to Championship leaders Scottish Rocks on Sunday. Boosted by their first-ever win against Plymouth, coach Skouson Harker singles out Rob Yanders as his team's key man. "Rob makes them go, they are in good form right now and hungry for more. "We'll force the tempo and take it to them. I'll challenge our point guard Will Funn to be the best he's been yet," he told BBC Hereford & Worcester. " I think this will be a interesting match up as Will is settling in and finding his form in the BBL. "Along with Yanders, Sterling Davis and Blake Shelton are as good as any three man combination in the BBL. "That being said I feel our main players are playing well too, so it should be good ball game." Their loss to Rocks earlier in the season doesn't worry Harker. "We are a completely different ball team to last time so I have not looked at our performance last game as it is irrelevant. "Yanders will lead from the point and they will be ready, but we match up very well now, as last game they had mismatches all over the court." The hosts are set to hand a debut to new signing, the veteran American centre Wil Johnson.
